:TC - Educational Toys

"TOYS"
(Cars, Dolls, Video Games, Puzzles, Balls, Board Games,...)

These are board games (Snakes and Ladders) and Imagination Set of building blocks where blocks were combined to create cart, house, etc. I've chosen these creative and educational toys for my kids' exchange gift on their school party tomorrow. I always want children to have educational toys because it helps improve their learning and creativity skills. And I know kids would love having them as gifts. Hope they'll like it.

MYM#2 - Josh at Bumbling Boulders

MellowYellowBadge

Josh and his friend Carl enjoyed the ride at bumbling boulders. At their entry they were asked what color of boulder they want to ride on and they excitedly chosen yellow (just perfect for this meme :-)) Anyway the ride will make the boulders spin around as the whole group of boulders
move also. It's kinda dizzy to me especially upon watching my video. I'm amazed that the kids didn't complained at all, they just love it!

T-Rex in Glass

Completed T-Rex in Glass Bell Jar

Saw this one at Etsy while I'm having some blog hopping and looking for some gift ideas. And why T-Rex? Because my son loves to collect everything and anything about dinosaurs. He just love it! He loves watching it in DVD and he makes us tell the story of the real dinosaurs before it vanished after the Ice Age. His curiosity will make your nose bleed lol!

Anyway this tiny paper T-Rex model which is only over an inch tall was a handmade product of Etsy and you can buy it for $60.00 USD. It can be a nice decor to your homes, an additional collection to dino collectors, a paper weight or some other uses. For other handmade gift ideas just browse over other products at www.etsy.com

Do You Live in the Past, Present or Future?

Keep thinking about this question and before it nags me I tried this test

You Live in the Present

You take things one day at a time.
And it turns out, that's a pretty great way to live.

You aren't consumed by the past, and you're aren't obsessed with the future.
You live in the now, and you enjoy each moment.

While most people don't live in the present enough, make sure you don't live in it too much.
It would be a mistake to forget your past or neglect to plan for the future.

Well at least I live in the present and not regretting about my mistakes in the past, this is rather important to me as the past for me is just good memories of my childhood and when my father is still alive. I live in the present but I value what I had in the past. The future I know will be well and good for me and my family as God will always be there for us.

Tips for your Heart – Reducing the Risks of Heart Attack

I’ve known some friends who were younger than me and only in their early thirties but already suffered from stress-driven heart problems. I’ve found out from research and observation that often those people who are most prone to heart attack are people who set up artificial deadlines and tough goals for themselves creating too much stress in their lives. I’ve lived some of my younger years at work with tough deadlines and I know how much stress it brings to your whole being.

If you’re one of these people try to limit the artificial stress you create. Ask yourself if these deadlines are necessary, if your goals can’t be relaxed or modified a bit. Make sure that all your goals are attainable because that’s what giving you stress, in coping up with so many expectations. Give yourself a break, a breathing space, relax and enjoy life. Or you could read this simple program to do to lower your risk of heart attack.

1) Don’t smoke and don’t drink
2) Go for a brisk but not stressful walk everyday
3) Eat a healthy-low fat, low-cholesterol diet
4) Maintain a moderate weight, just the right one for your built
5) Practice positive living which includes relaxation, communication and sharing your feelings to reduce stress in your life.

All these easy techniques and program will make you feel better. Feeling better about yourself reduce stress and that will be a factor in reducing the risks of heart attacks. Easy does it? Better than spending some days confined in a hospital when you suffered heart attack. As I believe that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

Bonifacio Day Parade/Cainta’s 438th Anniversary

Since it’s a national holiday we’re complete in the house except of course my DH whose job never seems to have holidays except for Christmas, New Year and Black Friday. Yes, that’s the only holidays they have in their company whose one of the known appliance store in the country. We waited for the big parade but when it finally came it wasn’t what I’m expecting for. Several years ago the Nov. 30 parade which celebrates two occasions – Bonifacio Day and our own town 50th anniversary foundation (fiesta). I’m expecting more content in the parade but I surmised that life is really difficult these days that’s why they only have simple celebration.

Anyway the parade consisted of chosen people in various barangay, some women’s organization, some colleges and schools, some companies in our town, there’s also a fraternity group there with long line of group chapters. Forgive my thoughts but I was in a trance with the theme of the parade and I’m wondering why they’ve included different kinds of never ending Ati-Atihan groups which solicits money while on parade. It showcase a group of gays scantily clad in women’s underwear with black paint and dancing to the tune of Ati-atihan dance without a hint of the real native dance. The real Ati-atihan natives would be disappointed when they get to see these imitators.

I’m just glad that there are bands of musicians in the parade representing primary schools which included my kids’ and my Mom’s school of course. They’re in their best costume and effort to bring music and the little majorettes were simply cute. They’re my daughter’s classmates. I love music and I enjoy seeing different musical bands with their specific instruments which seems to be a heavy load for them especially the drumset lol! They’re good and they’re well practiced. It’s a good thing that they come in different groups to balance the long parade.

I also like the exhibition of motorists who presented some heart falling stunts, I just love the 5-year old rider whom I’ve seen also last year. Some of my shots are awful as people walked in front and sides of the parade obstructing cameras from taking a nice shot. At the end of it I was surprised to see a group representing KKK and finally I was relieved that indeed it was a Nov. 30 parade. I was hoping that I will see more but that’s all there is.

:PH#188 - Technology (Quintum)

Click images for a larger view

This is Quintum equipment (white one) which I'm very familiar with because it's one of the many equipment used in my previous work in telecommunications company. This is used for VoIP (Voice over Internet Phone) switching solutions. This is commonly used by start-up VoIP service providers like my former company.

P.S. Atop the quintum is a router which we are very familiar with because we used it so we can use the internet simultaneously with other users. Another good technology.
