Kids’ Summer Activities on Different Generations

With all the new gadgets and electronic things that kids are playing now it’s really an effort to take them away from it and play the real games offline. I remember those summer days when I and my siblings were excited to end school days because we’re going to have plenty of board games to play. I excel on word games and I read plenty of books so I’ll be good at playing. 

When the sun is hot we play chess, scrabble, word factory, snakes and ladders, millionaire’s game and other related games. On the other hand when it’s not so hot outside we play ball games and other kid games played on streets. Life was indeed simpler then but happy as well. We also love music and I tried playing guitar myself but when I got busy with my college course I was not able to pursue my hobby. 

For my brother who has special gift for music time doesn’t matter because learning and playing musical instruments seem like a nature to him. It flows easily and he learns so fast, since I got more home chores he was able to spend more time. I just focused on collecting musical pieces, song books and music tapes since there’s no CD on those days or IPod. 

When we became born again Christian my brother bought drum set and electric guitar for the church. I remember it so clearly especially when I saw epiphone bass at guitarcenter.com which my daughter love to have for her own. He still has special flair for music and he extends it to our church brethren so everyone who wishes to play can learn from the instruments that he bought. Now after more than three decades he still plays instruments and the gifts of music which started from our grandfather is also seen on his kids and my kids too. Benefits of Playing Online Skill Games

We discipline our kids on using the internet on school days. They’re not allowed to use it on weekdays except for school related assignments. We let them use the internet on weekdays and play online games but on a specified number of hours only for them not to be addicted on it. Being a work-at-home Mom brings me online most of the day but when my friends asked me if I’m playing online games I told them I’m not much of a player except for word games which excites me so much. What Makes Her Happy

That's one of the things that makes my daughter happy! When she reached her goal not just in her studies or competition that she joins but in playing her favorite arcade basketball.  Here she beats the record and posted her own record score and she was smiling to me when I called her to pose.  Sometimes she wouldn't pose as she didn't want to be disturbed.  We dropped by the nearest Tom's World after she won the first place in inter-school competition.  It's a kind of prize she asked me so I gave in :-). Who wouldn't? She's been good in school and a good daughter also.

The Amazing Race - Knowing the Teams

Just watched The Amazing Race 17th Season and as always loved the excitement brought by watching reality show. It was actually my first to watch it from start to finish as I never really started or finished an episode of this due to busy schedule. As I'm so exhausted and wanted to rest I did watched it from the beginning up to ending hour. Hope I can do it again next viewing. 

Learned some quick assessment of the contestants from 11 teams like the temper of Chad, the inspiring not so strong team of father-daughter and father-son teams who despite of age differences have made it through and Claire the hero for Brook who faced the challenge after the rebound of water melon on her face. I thought she'll never gonna make it and then Brook told her that she ought to finish it with headache and eyes that can't see. Well she conquered it and finished 2nd. Jill &Thomas got the most coveted Express Cash.  Rony & Tony who made it as 1st to the Flight were the ones eliminated.

:Photo Hunt#227 : Numerical (Arcade's Baseball)

This is one of my favorite sports in arcade lol! I'm not an arcade fanatic but I get to love this baseball game while I'm watching my kids play almost all of the games available in the mall's arcade.  Every occasion that we went out to eat and celebrate they would ask to play in arcade.  Well I'm not the kind to watch only bec. I take pictures of them but when I got bored I look around for a game worthy of my time lol! And this is one game that I want.  Here you can see NUMERICAL in the targets where you'll aim and throw the ball.  And there are also Numerical in the score board and time.  Try it some time, you'll enjoy it!

:BM/MYM/RT: Catch Your Sponge Bob Here!

This is one of my kids' favorite game in Tom's World arcade the UFO catcher where you'll have a chance to grab pretty and cute stuff toys like teddy bear, hello kitty, barney, sponge bob and many other stuffs. It was hard to do this but Ruth managed to catch one pretty stuff toy in one of our visit there. It's so precious to her because she only tried twice and she got it.

Btw she's so fond of stuff toys and she added her catch to her collection. I had a chance to take some snapshots of the different stuffs there including these super cute yellow sponge bob. His tongue, eyes and socks has red and blue colors on it so I included this post on all three memes.

:BM/RT - Super Mashimaro

This is my little boy playing Super Mashimaro, one of his favorite arcade games in Quantum, SM North Edsa while waiting for Daddy to finish his time in the store. We visited hubby on his work inside the mall and we spent our waiting hours in Quantum much to my kids' delight. They love arcades anywhere and it really makes them happy whenever we stopped by and play there. Anyway we only do this occasionally and not on a whim. They always request this after the celebration of their birthdays, after eating in the house or in some fast food we would spend an hour or two there and that would certainly complete their day :-) ------kids....
