Aspirations on Technology

I love technology and innovations, the reason why I took up computer engineering when I was in college. Now I can see my flair for the latest technology in my son who is keen on anything that connects to technology. He’s very good in computer codes, very interested in repairing mobile phones and very good in researching for system trouble. As early as now I can visualize what he’s going to take in senior high and in college but that may change also depending on what he’ll be encountering in his junior high. For now he’ll just enjoy his young age and go on his favorite hobbies like games and playing keyboards. Kids’ Summer Activities on Different Generations

With all the new gadgets and electronic things that kids are playing now it’s really an effort to take them away from it and play the real games offline. I remember those summer days when I and my siblings were excited to end school days because we’re going to have plenty of board games to play. I excel on word games and I read plenty of books so I’ll be good at playing. 

When the sun is hot we play chess, scrabble, word factory, snakes and ladders, millionaire’s game and other related games. On the other hand when it’s not so hot outside we play ball games and other kid games played on streets. Life was indeed simpler then but happy as well. We also love music and I tried playing guitar myself but when I got busy with my college course I was not able to pursue my hobby. 

For my brother who has special gift for music time doesn’t matter because learning and playing musical instruments seem like a nature to him. It flows easily and he learns so fast, since I got more home chores he was able to spend more time. I just focused on collecting musical pieces, song books and music tapes since there’s no CD on those days or IPod. 

When we became born again Christian my brother bought drum set and electric guitar for the church. I remember it so clearly especially when I saw epiphone bass at guitarcenter.com which my daughter love to have for her own. He still has special flair for music and he extends it to our church brethren so everyone who wishes to play can learn from the instruments that he bought. With all the super deals that gadget suppliers are offering these days it’s so hard to resist not buying one or two of my favorite gadget accessories but I still stick to saving all my money for my daughter’s debut celebration. Her school will adopt the new schedule of opening of classes from the old June opening to the new and international-based start of classes on August. I know it would make her very happy.

Music Program Plans for Her Debut

We’re planning to celebrate our daughter Gen’s upcoming debut in some place other than our house because she requested for it. She’s not asking for a grand celebration of her 18th birthday but she want t to cool, relaxed and very orderly. She also wants a good music played because that’s her passion- music playing. Unlike other girls who have so many birthday requests on having their debut parties she only told us that a simple cake, good food and place will do as long as it’s organized and very cozy. 

She’s also requesting one thing that she loves most – a Music Friend's blue snowball microphone to use in friends’ messages, offered songs and in overall celebration of her 18th birthday. My daughter is really simple even when she’s only young. She only wants to play music, tinker with her music pieces and let her music relax my stressful working day. She’s not just competitive in school but very talented in music as well. Despite her bright mind and talents she still manages to be just a simple girl.

Laptop and Music Upgrade

We’re updating our computers to the latest specifications available because my daughter need to use it for her Computer-Aided Design drawings. My old laptop is still in good condition despite several years of usage. I remember buying it in the peak of the blogging years in 2010 and was very happy to get the brand I love most with the fruit of my writing income. My husband is using a not-so high specifications laptop but with a big screen for presentation purposes. The two laptops are not compatible with the course requirement so we’ve bought another one and I’ve chosen an i7 Laptop with 8GB RAM so it can be easily used in AutoCAD 2016 without fear of delay in processing or lagging. 

With it Gen is very thankful that we’ve bought another one for her engineering drawings and she can do her drawings uninterrupted, it would be hard if the specifications are lower. Anyway she also thought that it would also be good if we update her old guitar with a new electric bass guitar since she has been browsing over villa park il and found some nice items there. She spends her free time from school strumming her favorite pieces in her good old guitar. Well she loves her musical instruments very dearly and would like to update and collect some other instruments in the future.

I always love looking at the latest innovation in technology especially in communications and in the world of things I love most like music, computers and the like. I find it awesome to see updates in software that will make computer operations easy and helpful. When it comes to music I’m always fascinated by the improvement of the audio world and everything about making sounds perfectly clear.

Kids’ Flair and Interest

Kids have different hobbies, skills and flair for things in life. Some loves adventure and outdoor activities while some just want to do their things at home. While most kids finds technology very awesome others treat it as just a thing to learn about to keep pace with the modern world. I also know some kids who loves shopping and eating at different fast foods while some just want to play music on their free time. Often parents didn’t know exactly what their kids want but if they really focus on their kids they will know their interest in life. 

As early as my kids were in grade school I realized that they got my grandfather’s talent and interest in music. I’m happy about it and encouraged them to pursue their interest. I enrolled them in summer musical workshops and from there they continue with self-studies and practices. They all have talents but they differ in intensity. My middle child got the most and she’s now playing guitar, keyboards and some other instruments. She also wants to shop here! for accessories she wants to add to her collection. Playing musical instrument is one thing that makes her happy and I’m glad about it.

Replacement for Old Instruments

When we had meetings in our church we discussed about how we should update our musical instruments used in praise and worship. As to date our instruments are more than a decade old already and most of them badly needs replacement. With some instruments the price can be saved for but for the drum set we really need to think of ways on how to buy it because the price range is too high for our budget. 

We need a good sounding high quality drum set more in the likes of ludwig vistalite but we’ll be happy for a simpler one that our church will be able to afford. I know that we can pray together to achieve this plan.

Kid's Interest on Game Apps and Music

My son was amazed at the new apps and games offered online but he still sticks to his favorite Minecraft and their group games. He’s also into searching for good musical instruments as his Dad promised him a new one this coming weeks, not exactly a birthday gift but more like it. Anyway he prefers to prioritize a keyboard but he’s keen also on getting his own guitar so he can play learn and practice anytime he wants. He only borrows from his elder sister who can play various instruments. 

Gen can play keyboards and guitar and now gearing through playing the violin when she has free time. She also wants to have electric guitar the likes of kala u-bass but she’s still thinking if she can still play all those instruments with the volume of plates and school works in her college course. It’s hard to focus on your studies if you have other things in mind so she’ll just go back to playing after the midterm exams or better yet on semestral break.

Gadgets or Summer Workshops for School Break

With the onset of too many advanced gadgets and toys it’s still best for kids to spend summer doing things offline. This summer parents enrolled their kids to various fields of interest to while away their kids’ time during school break to lessen their time on gadgets. Some got some art workshops, others got into dancing, drama schooling and sports fest while others like us resort to music studying. Well this time I didn’t enroll them but because they already know the basic they just practice what they learned from school. Anyway my daughter Gen didn’t need to study in formal school to play musical instrument as she can learn by herself and she did it on three different musical instruments of her whim. 

She’s now playing with keyboards, guitar and even drums. For a girl she’s a bit awesome and she’s really something as she really learns fast. I just don’t know how she would play with flying v guitar if ever she gets a hands on. Well maybe not for now… for a young lady like her as she’s fine with her good old favorite guitar. Now she’s planning to teach her little brother how to play guitar as Josh just learned the basic of keyboard playing and Gen wanted her brother to play varied instruments.

Browsing for Gadgets and Musical Instruments

I really enjoyed surfing for the latest gadgets and equipment owing to my penchant for high tech gadgets. Well for now I just have to content myself browsing and reading reviews because it’s one my priority these days to buy a new gadget for myself. I’m planning to buy next year and I’m considering new netbooks for my girls and husband. For my growing up little boy who is into music this year I’m planning to add an instrument for him. This school year he is currently studying keyboards every weekend and I see so much enthusiasm on him. 

He is enjoying every minute of his class and he’s picking up real fast on their works sheets and keyboard playing. My kids loves the recent updates of musical instruments especially that even acoustic guitar now have some provisions on making it an electric one. Most modernization of music actually starts on the keyboards and some non-string instruments but I know that innovations will soon be helpful to string instruments which happen to be my daughter’s favorite. 

She plays guitar beautifully and told me that she wants to try her skills on electric kind. Oh well she really is a handful when it comes to having her things. Love for Gadgets and Instruments

It’s fun browsing through new releases of mobile phones, tablets and laptops which I frequently do as my hobby. I love gadgets but I don’t buy on impulse. I do a lot of research and comparing when I want a particular gadget and I save my online income to buy it on my birthday. This habit is just a way of rewarding me for a year of hard work and for having two jobs at a time. Having a regular office job and online job at the same time is no joke and to compensate myself I allot some of my money for a self-gift. 

Well sometimes it’s not always gadgets as I also love buying musical instruments and accessories. My kids play instruments and though we cannot afford the expensive ones I see to it that they can play even on the regular brand instruments. This is good for our home use only because if the need is for our church musical instruments it should be of superior brand because our usage is high as well. Just like now that we need the kind of kustom amplifiers to replace our old one in which we’re planning to save for a high quality brand. From experience we know that buying it instead of low quality brands will ensure not just long period of usage but superior performance as well.

Upgrading on Gadgets and Musical Instruments

With all the advancement in technology you can really so impulsive in letting go of your money as the innovations in mobile phones and other gadgets are so tempting. I’m one of those people who love gadgets but I can say I can manage my whims to the point of controlling my finances in buying only the needed ones. I know my priorities in life and only once in a year on my birth month particularly that I succumb to my wants and buy what I love. 

Last year I saved up for a vacation in Baguio instead of buying a new gadget as the cost is just the same. This year I’m going to include some musical instruments on my wish list so my kids can update on their music playing. I can also buy some replacement like John Pearse guitar strings to upgrade the old strings on our guitar and for backup too when we need immediate replacement. My kids would need this on summer vacation when they have free time away from school works.
