Three Tips for Using Technology in the Classroom

Many educators are embracing innovative technological resources such as using a tablet with an iPad Ram mount. Many other teachers, however, would love to use the technology but aren’t sure what to do or how to begin. Following are three suggestions that can help you improve your teaching through the use of tablets: 

·         Start small, but make sure you start.

·         Set expectations for how technology will be used.

·         Use accessories to augment the tablet.

Start Small

Sometimes the biggest hurdle in using a tablet is just getting started. The best way to use one is to simply use it. If you never start using the tablet, it will remain a mystery. Start small with one or two apps that you think might be useful. Get familiar with it, and begin to explore other apps. The more you use one, the more you will find different ways you can use it. Soon you will wonder how you ever lasted without using one. You can use a tablet even if your students don’t have access to one. For example, you can project your tablet’s screen onto an overhead screen and have students write on your tablet as they solve an answer to a problem. 

Set Expectations

Setting expectations is critical, for both you and your classroom. This is especially essential if your students have access to individual tablets. Do not think that every lesson or assignment needs to be accomplished using the tablet. In fact, some lessons are better without the technology. As you use your tablet, help your students make the transition to non-tablet times by letting them know when they are coming. Emphasize over and over that it is okay; you don’t have to use a tablet for every single piece of instruction. 

Use Accessories

One of the advantages of using a tablet in the classroom is the different accessories that are available. For instance, using an iPad Ram mount can help make your iPad visible to all students. There are other accessories that can project whatever you or a student writes on your tablet. As you use these accessories, you will find that they are fairly effective in helping keep your students’ attention on any given subject.

Online Book Price Comparison

I love books but I seldom buy them now because most of my fave kinds are expensive. I’m just lucky that a cousin of mine gives me plenty of her pre-loved books that I was able to continue my reading hobby. As I’m working online writing articles and reviews it’s not just hobby but a necessity as well to be a wide reader. I also need to sharpen my minds and keep it active always, for me reading does it for the mind. Sometimes I’m tempted to buy online but I don’t actually have an idea if the book I want is really expensive or they’re just selling it at a high price. 

Since I’m a bargain buyer and loves to go for deals and discount vouchers I always want to buy my things at a competitive price so it’s best to compare textbook prices before I indulge into buying them. That way I will be confident that I’m buying fairly and I’m not wasting my money on over-priced items. I’m just glad that there are sites that let you see the comparison before buying. People are really up to something that would make their life easier as they always invent or come up with things that can perform multi-tasking just like when you're working in an office and doing the job of two or more employees.  Well when it comes to gadgets I find it so cool because it doesn't just saves space, time but saves you money also for having multi-functional gadgets.

Just seeing this coaster that can hold an icy drink while charging a phone is one great example of what I'm saying.  Imagine yourself enjoying a cup of drinks while having your mobile phone charge at the same time.  I find it very entertaining but there's a small disadvantage perhaps because if I have my precious current model of smart phone I wouldn't let it sit side by side by a cup of any drinks because it poses a risk of my phone getting wet if someone accidentally push or mishandle the cup.  That would be so disastrous.

So for me little innovations are great and really cool but we also have to think of the consequences of modern gadgets.  I love modern gadgets and innovations for that matter but if it will affect certain important things. I guess I will be contented over my own gadgets be it single-functioning accessories or multifunction ones.

My niece is looking for modern and stylish ideas on some designs for her templates. She’s studying architecture and is always open for innovative ideas on home interiors and exteriors. Even as a student she already helps her father in designing interiors for his residential projects. Better Communications with Two-Way Radios

A person who has been lost in the woods needs to be found as soon as possible. This is especially true for children. Going on a walk in the forest is one thing; being stuck there overnight, and possibly for days on end, is something else indeed. 

The best way to find them is to organize a search party. You have to assume that they are injured and that they will not be able to help you by yelling for help or leaving signs. If they can, that is excellent, but you must assume that they cannot and take wherever steps you can to find them anyway. This means having the search party fan out in a long line so that all of the forest is covered. 

Every member of the party should have a way to get in touch with the people near them, whether that means a cell phone or  Motorola RDU2020 two way radios. This way, if the person is found, they can get help right away. This also ensures that members of the search party itself do not get separated and lost in the woods, making the situation worse. 

At least one person should keep track on a map of all of the areas that have been searched. You can do it in grids. This helps make sure that you are not searching the same areas over and over again. Each time you complete a grid, you can check it off and the party can move on.
