PH#208 : Vertical 'Tree'

This is a shot from our last summer camp fellowship in Indang, Cavite (Philippines) and I just love my shot that i want to share it here. My capture of the cutoff tall tree is just perfect for the theme as the vertical upright position of the tree seems to divide the beautiful cottony clouds in the background. Getting Back To Healthy Physique

Whenever I gain some pounds I immediately limit my intake of fatty foods, carbohydrates rich foods and other sources of too much calories. I turn to eating more fruits, vegetables and fish to stop myself from gaining excess pounds. What I can’t do is plan my exercise schedule as my very hectic schedule restricts me from doing so. I know that exercise is one of the most important aspects in losing up excess weight and in maintaining a healthy and fit body. I used to walk 4 kilometers a day, 2 kilometers in the morning and another 2 in the late afternoon so I had no problem then with my health and even if I’m not thin I don’t gain pounds easily.

Now I’m really thinking of returning to my old healthy and fit body and I want to try using the Tunturi treadmill recommended by a friend who also returned to her daily exercise regimen. The treadmill helped her a lot to give her back to her old slim form and she wants me to enjoy the healthy feeling of using up exercise equipment like this treadmill because it’s comfortable to use and safe to use. 1. In 1992, I was in my office working as EDP Asst. Supervisor in Philippine Rapid Transit and was enjoying my work with some close friends .

2. I want this summer vacation to be filled with my kids' laughter and smiles and it seems playing online and offline made it possible lol!

3. Do what you think is right, with what you know will make you happy , where you will be contented to live throughout your life .

4. In this very hot summer afternoon, swimming pool is where I’d like to be with my whole family. Actually we're planning to celebrate my Mom's birthday on May in a resort

5. The trees and flowers are telling me that they should be cared for patiently so they can bring about as many fruits and flowers as possible lol!

6. There are many election campaigns here and there that just keeps going on.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to stay up late to start my numerous tasks freshly given to me and I'm thankful that my sister will work also on uploading photos on her FB, tomorrow my plans include general cleaning of the house and Sunday, I want to rest from blogging, relax and devote my time to our Sunday service!

Stop Worrying!

My Auntie woke up yesterday morning and felt like very dizzy. She was sure that she has high blood pressure so she asked my niece to buy her medicine for her blood pressure. It’s lucky that she knows when to stop working and when to rest because if not it might give her complications. She was worried that she will be confined just like many of the senior citizens like her. The summer season is giving out too much heat that it causes some sickness on the kids and oldies alike. It’s hard to get sick especially if you haven’t any medical card or insurance like North Carolina health insurance because it will be far too costly.

Anyway I asked my Auntie later in the afternoon and she’s fine after taking her medicine and a much needed rest. Many people now are having problems with their fluctuating blood pressure because of the heat, the food they eat and most often due to excessive worrying on things. If they stop worrying over their problems and take their medicines regularly maybe they will be spared from heart sickness like high blood pressure.

Wind Chimes with Real Stones

Are you fond of wind chimes? Well I am and I came to like it because I've received gifts from friends several years back. I love those gifts and been using it all over my house. I have many kinds of wind chimes ranging from ceramics, glass, capiz and metals. Whatever sorts I love them. Spending Summer Vacation

Officially my kids’ summer vacation starts today as yesterday was my eldest’ graduation from primary school. Time flies so fast and now my little girl will soon be taller than me and I can say prettier too! I’m preparing her credentials and requirements for her enrollment in secondary education together with my youngest little boy who will enter first grade in primary school. Next school year will be a busy one for me as my three kids will be in three different schools because my other daughter is still in her old school to finish elementary this coming year. That would be super busy I suppose and I can’t imagine how I am going to do it if their schools call for a meeting on the same day.

Anyway I will just think of this summer season and enjoy the time with my kids the whole day. They’re having a good time playing board games now in our terrace and I’m thinking of putting up a patio umbrella in case they want to spend their playing time in the garden. Kids are always up to something different to do and I must ensure that they will not be exposed to so much heat.

I’m having some household training for my girls as they’re growing up so fast now they need to learn some basics in cooking and house cleaning. :BM/RT - The Camp Site

This is our summer camp site where we had our two-day fellowship service with communion, feet washing and bonfire sharing. We held our services inside the conference hall where we also have our kitchen, dining and sleeping area. Some who wanted to sleep on their tents can place their tents just outside the hall where we have bonfire throughout the night to ward off mosquitoes and some undesirable insects in the villa. It's a wide 3-hectare plantation so it's not impossible to have some crawling insects at night but the big bonfire with reddish flame at night prevents them from getting near.

Orchid Recovery Center for Women

When I see women begging for coins in the street I took pity on them especially if they carry their babies with them. It’s either they’re really beggars or members of a certain syndicate that force them to beg for money. It’s even harder to see street women who were full of dirt and grease on their bodies and looks like sanity has left them. I look at children and women as crystal and they should be given proper care and love.

The bitterness of life may have left them struggling for their good sense and the problems may have taken its toll on their minds that made them insane. Well some resort to alcohol or drugs when they have problems that they can’t handle and for their families it’s a big burden that hard to bear. It is for this reason that Orchid Recovery Center was built for. It is a gender-specific center for women who resorted to drug and alcohol addiction. Life doesn’t end with frustrations and disappointment over a family member who became drug addict or alcoholic. There’s still a chance especially if the whole family prayed and strive for it. It’s an overwhelming thought that there are centers like The Orchid Recovery Center for Women who helped women overcome their drug and alcohol addiction giving them a chance to live a better life after the rehabilitation treatment.

I visited the Orchid Center Charity Blog and there you can see how they assisted women in their residential treatment center giving them expert treatment and proper care needed to help them see and enjoy life after rehabilitation. The place and the exposure to fellow women who experience the same dilemma have been of great help to patients to recover fast.
