Too Many Activities in a Day

I was up and about at dawn trying to do everything I can to make my work as fast as possible to meet my desired time schedule. We have to attend my second child’s recognition day and buy something for her blowout to her classmates. I’m a little dizzy from yesterday night’s overtime in blogging because I know I’ll be able to come back home after lunch time. What a busy day for me but I must check first the auto insurance quotes I saw yesterday online because it offers competitive price. My brother needs it for his spare construction car.

I picked up my notebook and listed everything I got to do this day especially the ones which I’ll be doing after the school recognition day. I’ve listed all I’m going to need for our camp meeting; our clothes for packing, my grocery list, my market list and what I’m going to cook for our first day in the camp. The rest of the meals were taken care of so I’ll be preparing breakfast and lunch only. Now I feel better upon seeing my list knowing that I will not forget a thing.

:BM/RT - Super Mashimaro

This is my little boy playing Super Mashimaro, one of his favorite arcade games in Quantum, SM North Edsa while waiting for Daddy to finish his time in the store. We visited hubby on his work inside the mall and we spent our waiting hours in Quantum much to my kids' delight. They love arcades anywhere and it really makes them happy whenever we stopped by and play there. Anyway we only do this occasionally and not on a whim. They always request this after the celebration of their birthdays, after eating in the house or in some fast food we would spend an hour or two there and that would certainly complete their day :-) ------kids....

Happy start of the week! Click on the badge for more blue monday and ruby tuesday pics!

Home and Garden Composters

As a Mom I’ve been very cautious of all waste in the house and it starts in the kitchen where I spent most of my time in the morning. Everyday I have to take care of all the waste food and if I just put in the trash it will just accumulate together with all the kitchen waste of my neighbors. It’s hard to think what will happen to our garbage landfill if all people will have so many trash everyday.

My Auntie tries to limit her trash by burning the leaves in our backyard to bring smoke to our mango tree because it is believed that it would bring out fruits if they do it. It does but the smoke and the smell affects our neighbors next door. I read somewhere that it also affects our environment. I remember my uncle in the province turn these waste into compost and use it as fertilizers to his crops. But that’s the old manual way of doing compost unlike what they have in the market now that with the use of garden composters they can recycle household and yard waste into fertilizer thus bringing the nutrients of food and garden back into the land that produce them in the first place. Join in the eco-friendly process and choose from Outdora’s range of home composters. I find the odor free compost caddy good to use for small household like us.

There are other ways of making organic fertilizer like using the Worm Farms home composters where the compost bin is filled with worms inside. This kind of composting produces compost tea which can also be used as a very good organic plant food. This way we can help our environment maintain an eco-friendly atmosphere because of using all ways of composting waste not only from our food, our garden but also from our pet’s droppings.

Well did you know that even our own waste from our bodies can turn into a good mulch for your plants by using composting toilets? This is a very interesting thing for me as you don’t just help the environment but minimize your water costs as well. It’s good to be aware of our environment because having a clean and safe environment is a plus in maintaining our body’s good health.

I Love Promo Items

When I’m roaming around malls and visiting some display stores I’m so fond of availing or getting some promotional items because I like the nice and cute designs they seem to come up just to promote their products and services. As the Administrative officer in my previous work I was sometimes tasked to arrange such promo items for our company to give to our telecommunication clients. Those items are so much loved by the receiver especially if it’s somewhat techie.

When I contact and make arrangement with the one making the promotional items I was given plenty of design to choose from. I’ve always loved to choose mugs, pens and some pretty gadgets for computer. Just look at these items below and you’ll agree that they’re nice.

Saturday 9: You're My Best Friend

1. Outside of your romantic life, do you currently have a best friend? Yes I have many best friends but I'll be discussing here my best friend for 28 years already. She's JennyL, a blogger who introduced me to blogging and has been my mentor ever since I got into blogging. We were best friends since we're in sophomore years in high school. Since high school we never part our ways.

2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? I'm not the kind who hopes to be rich or popular someday, I just want my kids to grow as a good christian, be good in school and finish college.

3. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food? If yes. what did you do? I'm always ready to help a friend in whatever way I can like giving jobs, advices and sometimes money. Mostly I lend them cash but i don't want to discuss this in public.

4. If they re-instituted the draft (for both genders and your were of age) would you go, or would find some way out of it? I think this is not applicable to me so I'll just let this question pass.

5. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do. I wish I hadn't let myself stay long in corporate employment. I should have taken some risks few years back but that's well under the bridge now. I'm happy that late though it may seem I took the risk few months ago to leave my permanent job to concentrate on my family and in writing advertisements on my blogs.

6. Tell us about the last time you bragged. I don't brag much but I did as a joke only, it was a family humor brag and the kids love the joke : -)

7. What area are you wisest in? Area of what? Ok I'm wisest in budget cooking :-) but in other areas as well, i always try to be wise on many things like parenting, baking, writing (because it's my job also), being a mommy and wife.......

8. Tell us about something that happened that at the time made you "full of yourself". When my kids excel in class because of their hard labor in studying. There are more things but I can't write it here as it's going to take long :-)

9. Has there ever been a time that you wanted to try something in the bedroom, but were afraid to ask? no.

Daily Disposable Contact Lens

I’m wearing prescription eyeglasses for decades for my nearsightedness. Since college I was compelled to wear glasses to help me get through my studying. It was hard without eyeglasses because I will not be able to see far objects and the lessons we have on the board. Even if at first I find it uncomfortable I became used to wearing my glasses all day. I even wear them during my sports activities. I’m the athletic type and I have many sports. My eye deficiency didn’t stop me from joining school sports. When I graduated and got a job right after the rites I didn’t switched to contact lenses for many reasons. I’m a super busy person and I find them hard to maintain and contact lenses those days were not as convenient and as comfortable as the ones available now.

My sister introduced me to contact lenses because she really feels that eyeglasses can be awkward sometimes and can make you look older. Well it really depends on the style you choose to wear but with contact lenses it looks naturally nice and with added beauty if you choose the right shade of color. There are many kinds and some are made to last for months and even for a year but my sister chooses disposable contact lenses because she finds it more fitted to her lifestyle. She doesn’t want to use the durable contact lenses that will last for long period of time because she didn’t want to use the same contact lenses everyday for a year. She can also choose different kinds according to her moods.

Now I found that there’s more that contact lenses can offer. Softens offer daily disposable contact lenses which you can wear once and then thrown after use. It’s best for busy people because you don’t have to buy and use solution, no more lens’ cases and no worrying about tear & wear because it will be replaced daily. Everyday is a fresh new day with new pairs to wear. You don’t have to worry about carrying them when you travel because of its very simple packaging and it’s very affordable. Now for those people with allergies it is highly recommended as you replace each contact lens everyday. With all these comfort and convenience it’s really quite something to try.

Thursday Thunks#2

1. I got nothing. What should I ask next week? Although I think Kimber should do it next week. Somehow. Hmmm I can't think either :)

2. Wind chimes - annoying or not? NotI like wind chimes, it sounds brings delight to kids also. We have two babies here who love hearing our wind chimes!

3. Camping - camper or tent? We're always camping out every Holy Week and Christmas season. We used tent to sleep outside our conference hall. It's really exciting on the first time up until now :-)

4. Told ya I got nothing. This really sucks. I should have had Bud do this, huh? Well that really happen sometimes just feeling blank and wordless but I'm not see!

5. What is your favorite letter of the alphabet? I like J and letters with the sounds of J when used like G.

6. So this week my kid had to type a research paper for English.... then she had to email it to her teacher! Is that not just the oddest thing ever? Blew my mind away. Well maybe that's the way they want it done this high tech generation. Classes online are becoming a pad now!

7. Wow. These questions suck. They suck bad. Do you like to suck through straws? For what type of beverages? almost anything except for hot coffee and choco. But I us straw only when I drink outside the house on restaurants perhaps but when I'm home I prefer not to use them.

8. What do you do with your cell phones when you do those wonderful "upgrades" to the newer, fancier phones? I don't upgrade my phones I use it as long as it's good enough fro text messaging and phone calls. My SIL gives out her phones to her siblings, niece and nephews when she visits her homeland-the Phils.

9. It's allergy season - unless you've completely missed all the people walking around with kleenexs stuck to their nose... what are you allergic to? I'm not the type with allergy but I guess too much dust can be so bad on anyone

10. What did you sleep with as a child? pillows and bolsters!

When He Grows Up

We’ve noticed that Josh is growing up healthy and with appetite that makes me smile. When its time for eating he’ll just go to his place and eat. It doesn’t take me a hard time convincing him to eat because he’s the one to eat early so he’ll be early for his service. I just noticed that he’s not making much progress on his height unlike his siblings who grow up faster than anyone. I heard about human growth hormone and been thinking about how effective it is to help increase growth. No I’m not thinking that Josh would take it I’m just interested in this HGH thing and what it offers to the consuming public.

I’m perfectly happy with my little boy’s progress because I know there will come a time that he’ll be growing up fast. Kids have different level of growing phases and for now I will just enjoy Josh while he’s little and always want to be by my side. After several years life would be different and I hope my little boy will still be charming and nice. This is just an ordinary Mom’s thoughts.

Preventing Back Injuries

I was walking with Josh the other morning to buy our supply of fruits when I heard people talking about the back injuries of one pregnant woman. It kept me draw back to my own pregnancy and I never remember having one of those back injuries. What’s keeping me at hold sometimes was the pain in my hips which is but natural in my condition. Well for those who want some tips on posture here are ways on reducing the risk of back injuries.

Good posture is just as important as antenatal exercises in maintaining your overall well-being. Adopting the correct posture during pregnancy is important to reduce the risk of back injuries. On standing up make sure you stand up straight, keep your shoulders back and drop them slightly. Keep your back straight and lift your chest and ribs. Stomach muscles should be tightened and tack your bottom in. Have your feet positioned slightly open. Bend your legs instead of your back when picking up or lifting things. Avoid high-heeled shoes and prolonged standing.

On sitting down you should sit up straight on a chair that will support your back. You can use a pillow to support your back further. When picking up objects squat down, use your leg muscles and keep your back straight.

And last, when getting up roll onto your side and use your arms to help push yourself up. This will help prevent straining your back and abdominal muscles. So for those pregnant Moms out there follow these simple tips to avoid back injuries in the future.

Start a Healthy Lifestyle

I’m happy with my daily meal plan as I’ve grown accustomed these days to taking up half rice in every meal and almost nothing on dinner. I just replaced the rice with plenty of fruits to make up for my stomach full feeling. I heard about natural colon cleansing and the good it does on our bodies. Well with all the sickness occurring these days especially the colon cancer we really must thin about what we eat and how we live our life.

We should start living a healthy lifestyle to combat sickness better and to prevent us from being so susceptible to air-borne and communicable diseases. For my part I started my daily habit of eating pineapples, apple, citrus, mangoes, papaya and banana. These are the most commonly available in nearby stores and I just got to like them all that missing them in my meal are less satisfying.

What Caring is All About

Caring costs nothing, it makes you feel good, and it makes those around you feel good because it releases their reservoirs of positive energy. As a result, not only do people feel compelled to care back, but they use some of this newly released energy to care about those around them. Caring is a Win-Win proposition because you really can’t lose with this one. It’s one thing that every people can’t resist or ignore because they can feel it. It’s like a chain reaction that if someone cares you care also, it’s spontaneous and it feels really better having to care for someone you love.

Preparing for Little Boy’s Entrance Exams

I did some inventory and cleaning up on my hard copy files including important documents. I have accumulated files since I left my work and I’ve added some pretty nice books. I’m reading again now and I’m so glad I had a chance again. Most of my books are inspirational and those leaning to work attitude but I also started up reading about health. I’m opening up a health blog next month and hopefully writes about tips, healthy recipes, some common diseases and solutions like acne remedies, healing wonder of herbs and many things. I’d like my blog to be of help to many who are seeking some health tips and natural cure on some ailments.

Now back to my files, I was happy to find one of my little boy’s requirements in taking up entrance examination in Little Jewels. The school I want for Josh primary schooling requires the student to submit NSO certified birth certificate, Report Card (not necessarily up to fourth grading period) and Health card or baby’s vaccination report. I found the latter this morning and called the administrative officer of the school to request schedule for Josh. He would be scheduled on Thursday afternoon for written exams and one more day for reading and interview. Hope everything will be fine for his start of formal schooling.

:BM/RT - Josh and Cus in Costumes

No it's not halloween but I'm posting this picture of Josh (spiderman) with Cus (baker) because I want to make him happy by showing him his picture with his friend on one of their school outdoor activities. He's just graduated this morning and felt somewhat sad that he'll not be able to see his friends again that they're going to different schools next school year for their primary level. Most of his classmates are going to enroll in CCS and some of his closest friends in other school. I'm going to enroll him in christian school and hopefully arrange it this week. Anyway if ever plans will go through Josh and Cus will be studying on nearby schools just 2 streets away.

Happy start of the week! Click on the badge for more blue monday and ruby tuesday pics!

Comfortable Outdoor Patio Furniture

I have so many activities yesterday including a whole day fellowship and sharing services in the church. During our lunch break which are usually around 3 in the afternoon we went to the nearest mall to buy shoes for my kids. I was just glad that we’re earlier by two hours so I had time to prepare for Josh’ moving up exercises tomorrow. Since graduation is scheduled in the morning I want everything ready and in place when I wake up in the morning. I was tired to the point that when I sit in front of my PC my eyes are drooping already. I just opened my mails and I went to sleep to have energy for my little boy’s graduation. In times like these I just want to relax, read a book or just laze around outdoor chaise lounge in our patio. It’s so comforting to sit especially if you’ve been tired the whole day and all you want is to relax your body and mind.

It is really important that a house should have patio or terrace because it’s one good place where you can rest from the stress and exhaustion of the day. We grew up having bonding times in our patio playing scrabble, chess and other mind boggling games. It’s our favorite spot during summer because the temperature is cooler on this part of the house. It would have been cozier if we add some more patio furniture like woodard furniture from Outdora. Their line of products for outdoor furniture spells comfort and elegance in the same time. The quality of materials and style of their outdoor furniture will surely give a fresher look on your patio. It will be perfect for inviting your friends for a complete get together minus the expensive costs of meeting on some other places.
I was just glad that we have a nice wrought iron sets that we’ve used for three decades now. It was designed by my own father and we’re always restoring it to original beauty to preserve not just the furniture but the memories of my father as well. Anyway we can always add up some patio dining sets of different make so we can enjoy more of our family and friends on times of entertaining, relaxation and lazy conversation. It could end up eating some grilled barbecues or hotdogs with the use of other Outdora’s wide selection of outdoor products that will make your outdoor activities a moment to remember.

Lil Boy's Graduation Practice

My little boy had his last practice yesterday – their grand practice actually where parents are required to attend to be informed of how the ceremony should be. It’s also the giving out of programs, toga and other materials for graduation. This time they’re not going to wear their usual toga but a white long-sleeved polo with necktie, black shoes and black pants. To accentuate the clothes it will be worn with a yellow sash bearing St. Audrey’s logo.

The practice was a short one because they didn’t include the 2 songs and award ceremonies. We still didn’t know the awardees until they gave out the programs which you can find the list of all graduates and the honor roll. I was happy to see my little boy’s name again on the list and that completes his consistency since he’s in nursery. He got the second place and I’m glad that his close friend got the first place. Josh always surprise us with his studies that even if he can be so playful and talkative at times he still pass the school with flying colors. Good work ‘lil boy! I know my Mom has a lot to do with his good grades because she devotes her time guiding our ‘lil boy in studying. So I think it’s also Good work GrandMom!

Elegant Engagement Rings

Every woman would love to find one true love in her life and if she was lucky enough their love would end like a fairy tale that they would live happily ever after. But is there such a thing as true love? Of course there is but sometimes time is not on the right timing that’s why that one true love seems so far. Oh well the lucky ones who seems to have the right man for them including me of course should be thanking God that He has given enough blessings to them.

Well finding the right partner in life makes you dream about your future with him and in just months or years relationship can go further as planning a life together and that would mean giving engagement rings to seal the promise of engagement to each other. This is what women are as excited about as the ring signifies many things. It represents a formal agreement to a future marriage thus it’s a sign of commitment between the two. In the old classical times the 4th finger of our left hand was said to contain the ‘vena amoris’ or what they call as ‘vein of love’.

For whatever purpose engagement rings would have I still regard it as a pre-nuptial form of agreement for wedding. For girls it’s an exciting gift for them especially if they were given diamond engagement ring because it surpassed almost all kinds of ring with its quality and value. I would also love to have one but I want it to come from DH because for me the value of the ring not only lies on the true carat of the ring but of the keepsake or remembrance value. I want to remember everything we’ve gone through in all of our nearly 14 years together as husband and wife.

Well if you want to find trusted store for elegant engagement rings and other jewelries you can browse online at World Jewels and see their wide variety of unique and beautiful jewelries. With the wide selection available you’re sure to pick one that’s right for your loved one.

Wilderness Therapy - A Unique Approach

My daughter suddenly said aloud that time flies so fast. She’s behind me that time so I didn’t figured out why she said that. It’s unusual for Ruth to say such things when it finally dawned on me that they only have one week to finish classes before graduation. And maybe she’s dreading the time that she wouldn’t see her school friends in school. Dear daughter is feeling a little sad that her closest friends will study far from her school. Oh well that’s kinda lonely for me too when I graduated from high school and college.

Well think about the time that’s passing and when I looked back it’s already 8 months since I resigned and left my office employment. I remember the times when I’m not sure of my real final stay in the office as my boss keep on prolonging my months. It was a stressful period for me. At the same time that my employment is on a hanging level I was busy with almost every thing in my life; my Mom became blind and needed my full attention; there’s no one to look after my kids and my daughter is transferring to another school. The hardest of all is I don’t want my work anymore and the new procedures being implemented. I feel the room is closing down on me without an air to breathe. That’s how the stress affected me and what I needed right then was a time for myself to pray, think, plan and act.

Mothers are the most stressed person in the world although they have the power to convert stress to anything positive. Even if they’re tired they can erase the tiredness with just one compliment from her family about her cooking and caring. We should really have a ME time to replenish our lost energy and to revive the bubbling person inside ourselves. We should be able to pause and have time to walk without hurry, go shopping without a list of family’s errand, read a book quietly without interference and do anything that pleases our heart not anyone else at least for a certain time we have to think of ourselves.

Not only mothers like me experience things like these because even the young ones sometimes go through the same ordeal that adults are going through. I even read a magazine that tells a story of a teenager who is so depressed with her life because she was stressed out by the expectations of her parents. She even tried to kill herself because she's a failure. Situations like this should be approached by wilderness therapy which offers a different approach of providing outdoor education and therapy through their activities in the outdoors. With the help of dedicated professional therapists they will learn how to express themselves fully, communicate better with fellow teenagers and learn how to deal with their problems with controlled emotions and a positive approach without violence.

This system is quite new to me and I only learned it now but its uniqueness makes me delve further into Pacific Quest’s very unique approach to solving and treating such cases of teeners. With their proper guidance and therapy in dealing with the participants and using outdoor means like the organic farm I’m very positive that it should bring out positive results that will benefit all participants.

Persuading Other People

You Persuade People Through Emotion

You hate to admit it, but people make decisions with their hearts. Their heads don't play much role in the equation.
So even though you are cool headed, you know you have to be warm hearted in order to convince people you're right.

You craft your words carefully. You speak to inspire, motivate, and stir up emotions.
You know that once someone wants to be on your side, they'll figure out their own reasons for why.

How come most of what has been said above is really like the real me :-) I'm very careful with my words when I want to persuade someone but still I don't lie just to persuade. I just want the other party to see it my way that's why i choose my words very carefully. When it comes to speaking I really meant to inspire others and not just talk for nothing because I also want to motivate others to what I'm telling them to try or to do. Well with what I'm doing to them I know I can stir up emotions.

Gears for Your Little One

Babies are a welcome addition to family and with them comes countless joys of seeing them grow up slowly. As such you want to give them the best that you can afford to let them enjoy small pleasures and convenience in life. When you have new baby in your family you try to buy lots of gear for them starting from the first month to succeeding months of their growing up stage. We have two little baby girls here in our compound and they bring so much joy and happiness to us everyday. Sophia or Iya as we fondly call her is a bubbling baby girl of my niece who turned five this month and as early as now she likes to play and crawl in her crib until she sees someone she likes to go with and she’ll stare and laugh at the same time so she’ll be freed from her crib. She’s a very happy baby and she always smile at whoever called her especially when it’s me.

I’m so fond of her and she reminds me of my Gen when she’s still a baby. They have some similarity on skin, face and the chubby look. When Iya was just two months old her Mom and Dad used to bring her while she’s on her stroller. They use her pram to bring her to a park or when they’re in the mall so she’ll be safe lying on her pram/stroller. Now that my niece is currently living within our compound and Iya want to be in her crib most of the day they used her stroller when they go to a park in the early morning.

You really have to own these gears for the baby’s comfort and convenience but shopping for them can be tasking as you want to see all designs, sizes, brands and make before you make your purchase. If you do that you’ll have to walk in the mall to visit plenty of stores and compare. That’s the difference of online shopping because you don’t have to go out of your house to search, compare and buy all the good and nice things you want for your baby.

Shopwiki made it possible for shoppers to access thousands of stores you can visit so you can compare and get the best deals on your baby things’ requirements like the convertible high chairs that my niece found online. It’s a multi functional chair that converts from a highchair to a booster or toddler chair. It’s a perfect chair for growing babies especially that it has an eight height positions to suit the growing size of your kid. Shopwiki has all the things you may ever need for your baby and also for the whole family as they have stores available for electronics, computers, house, garden, toys, and clothing for the whole family, accessories and many more. Visit them now and start shopping comfortably.

Saturday 9: Just One Look

1. How vein are you about how you look? You mean vain? I'm not! I'm the simplest living human :-) It takes my younger sister to remind me to a little more conscious of how I look because I'm comfortable with the way I am.

2. When you were little what was your favorite TV show? I watch Sesame Street everyday when I'm not in school, I was in the primary school then

3. If someone was going to make a movie or TV show about your life, who would play you and why? Sandra Bullock, because it will be an action movie and Sandra is good at it like she did in Speed.

4. Who is your favorite Major League Baseball team? How about your favorite player? I play baseball when I was in college but I don't watch baseball teams now

5. What is your favorite baseball-related movie? Maybe 'A League Of Their Own

6. What is one lesson you have learned in the past year? Believe in yourself and if you have plans in your life pray for it, seek God's help and wait for His time and signs before you finally pursue your plans. If it's for you God will make things in accordance with your life, no ifs no buts only God's perfect will.

7. Tell us about one of your childhood memories. I have plenty of playmates but mostly siblings and cousins who live in the same compound as ours. The memorable ones were those spent in the province when I was 7 and below. I used to climb trees and play in the grassfield. Big bro and I used to ride in each side of the horse sitting on a basket made for us only by Uncle. It was a different childhood from what I experienced here in our place near the metropolis. I prefer the province.

8. How do you handle sticky situations? Do you have a method? If so, what is it? I pray, consult and follow what my mind and heart says

9. Do you think people talk about you behind your back? Maybe sometimes but I'm not guilty and I don't care. You can't please every body so I just let them, they will grow old fast than I am hahaha!

Weekend Family Outdoor Experience

It’s weekend once again and I have to prepare foods for my kids since they’re all here the whole day. Since its summer here we tried to do our activities indoor to avoid exposure to sun’s heat. I don’t want them to develop skin rashes and some kind of skin disorder due to sun’s effects on their very young skin. Well even if it’s summer here we can always have barbecues at our backyard where shades are everywhere because of our fruit trees covering almost all the space. We actually stay at the backyard patio when the heat is too much to bear. It’s also fun to have picnic there anytime of the day but the best times are afternoon and evening where we could put our outdoor fire pit to grill some fresh seafood’s and pork. The kids can have their hotdogs and marshmallows if they want too. It’s a good relaxation and bonding for the family and we could just wait for husband to come home and join us.

Weather is really not so important when we really want to have some nice get together, we can do it indoor and outdoor. It’s just that outdoor activities are like going to another place to have picnic or enjoy some time together. It feels different when you carry your food outside and enjoy lunch or dinner out in the patio. It feels special actually when the whole family takes extra effort to prepare something special for the weekend. It’s even more special when you have the Outdora’s fire pit tables in your patio because you don’t have to go to beach resorts or travel elsewhere to enjoy the elegance and beauty of this table which illuminates various colors at night. You can choose whatever materials you want for your fire pit tables such as wrought iron, masonry or gleaming stainless steel. It’s easy to use and clean so there’s no worry even if you use it everyday.

Now for those who are experiencing cold weather you can also enjoy outdoor activities with Outdora’s outdoor fireplace where you can snuggle up with your family enjoying the night without the chills. It’s a good way to spend the night relaxing, talking and just plain enjoyment with the family. Pink Hello Kitty 4 GB USB Drive

I promised myself not to do my favorite hobby of searching online for cute gadgets. I just love looking at USB flash drives every time I search for other things. Since high school I'm very fond of sanrio characters, actually I love My Melody but in the later part of 90's only Hello Kitty survived the popularity of her group.

Here I've found this pink Hello kitty 4GB USB flash drive which I admittedly like because of its design and capacity.
Who wouldn't love this cute pink kitten especially if it's your small storage media for tons of pictures. This one costs US$20.00 from amazon.com

Rigid Work at Home Schedule

I try to do all marketing and shopping for foods early in the morning as the heat really saps my energy. If I stay too long outside when the sun is at its peak between 11am and 2pm I feel I can’t work anymore and just want to lie down for hours. Of course I don’t want that to happen because I have tons of online tasks and few hours delay on writing can cause too much delay on my time work goal. I shouldn’t be lax with my due dates because I’ll suffer from it in my next assignments. Failure to do assignments on deadlines will give me a bad feedback on the clients so I’d better discipline myself and follow my rigid schedule on work.

New Community Pizza House

There’s a new pizza parlor five blocks away from the house and since I just got my salary from my work I told my kids that I will treat them so we can have a taste of the new store’s pizza, fruit shakes and other foodies. So here I am again thinking of new restaurant and foods while I should be finding some quick weight loss remedy for my gained pounds. It’s hard not to think of foods because my kids have no classes today and when they’re all here at the house we’re all thinking of some good and new snacks. Sometimes we cook or bake some muffins or ordinary pizza made from big bread but now we want to try the new pizza store of our neighbor. It’s just a 2-minute walk from the house and my kids are all waiting up for me to leave my PC now. Well then I should get a break.

Sincere Appreciation Gets Results

I read a story about the officer in the company who don’t want to listen to her staff’s stories and never showed any interest in their suggestive ideas. She always turned down immediately any ideas that she thinks is not good for the company. The result is they learned to stay away from her and never get in contact with her eyes when they’re talking. Her whole department has been cold to her and they feel that she has no emotions at all. She consulted her doctor that she’s receiving cold attitude among her staff and that’s when she was taught to be more human, to listen first to her staff and show a deeper sense of interest in what they’re saying or suggesting. She was asked to appreciate things done by her staff. You see one of the deepest needs of our human existence is the need to be appreciated.

Each and every one of us absolutely loves to be appreciated for who we are and what we do. Now that she learned how to appreciate things and people around her she was respected more by them. Not only that she was respected but they all smile at her the whole day. They can now look into her eyes directly and suggest their ideas for the company’s welfare. She feels happy changing her attitude.

Well I sincerely love this story as I can also apply it in my family. I must be aware always that I should appreciate every little thing that my kids will do for me and for the rest of us. It will help them boost their self-esteem and be confident in their actions. Since I started to be a Wahm I learned to focus on my kids’ changes in attitude as they grow up from little children to being a teener in few years time. Hope I’ll be able to appreciate every single effort they’ll be making in the future.

:Thursday Challenge - Round 'Alumni Balloon'

for fun and learning

"ROUND" (Circle, Sphere, Curves, Moon, Clock, Coins,...)

Just find this balloon just right for the theme. What makes this balloon special? Because it's our balloon for our High School's 50th Golden Anniversary Alumni Homecoming - for our batch only. The speaker of the jubilee even remarked that our batch were having a birthday party as we're the only table with such nicely colored balloon and cake too! Anyway we feel very young then just like when we're in our high school days and to celebrate our grand get together someone from our group thought it will be nice to have these cute lavender balloons to go with our golden yellow shirts. Nice color combination.

Visit my space shuttle entry here! For more 'round' themed photos click the title badge!

Listen to Your Inner Voice

In our life we sometimes relied on other people’s comments and remarks to decide on the things we want to do. It’s always good to listen to our friends’ opinions but we should weigh things up before following advices and opinions, it’s your life and it’s you who knows what’s good for you. When you share your dreams and goals with those close to you – a change of career, starting a new business, going back to school and other new things in your life – you’re likely to hear a negative response. Don’t let others rain on your parade – instead, go for it. But be sure that you’ve prayed for it and asked for God’s sign if you’ll continue or not. Plans coupled with prayers give successful results.

Staying Up Late Again

It’s getting late again and I don’t want this bad habit of mine staying up late and feeling so inspired to write. I can really think and write so fast at night when everyone is sleeping and I have all the time to concentrate on my subject that is if I’m not sleepy. Anyway I should not overtire myself tonight because I’m going to attend our midweek bible study tomorrow and I don’t want seeing myself with protruding acne in the following days. I’m not that prone to acne and pimples but sometimes late nights cause my skin to develop one. I don’t want my little boy teasing me about it lol! Anyway I’m just thankful that blessings are pouring nowadays and I have plenty of writing tasks to do in the following days. I thank God for the providence.

:Blue Monday - Josh in Motorbike

See my little boy here as he enjoys riding in his rented motorbike here. The other little riders here became his friends after spending almost an hour there. He easily make friends you know like Mommy :-) It was a shot from his last birthday when we celebrated it at the mall where hubby was working. Just got lucky to capture a decent shot here while he's roaming the circle. SM North Edsa was newly renovated then and we visited the new Sky Garden.

Happy start of the week! Click on the badge for more blue monday pics!

Lessons Learned

Myspace Inspiration Graphics Quotes

Life is a mysterious road that sometimes you have to reach the end before you know it’s not what you think it is. Oftentimes we just ignore what our elders advise us when we’re young thus leading us to a life full of complications and anxieties. If only we know everything and if only we listen every time. When we commit mistakes we just have to accept our faults and learn to stand up after the fall.

We should learn from our past mistakes, gain knowledge on the lessons of life and let God guide you in His helping hands. Try to see His grace and bountiful blessings on us. If you let God be the center of your life you’ll have a life leading to the right way.

Outdoor Grilling Experience

I love preparing food for my family inside our home or anywhere else. We often spend vacation far away from the city where we could have camp meeting, fellowship and some kind of picnic at the same time. When we talk of picnic I’m referring to bringing some yummy foods, fruits and having barbeque grills to complete your outdoor activities. The kids enjoy it and so are adults. If we don’t have time to go somewhere we just do our get together family picnic in our backyard patio but it’s better if we have our outdoor kitchen grill just like lynx grills which has the best quality gas grills with full accessories and beautiful stainless barbeque grills. You’ll feel as if it’s you’ve brought your indoor kitchen outside with its modern features that spells quality and performance that completes outdoor grilling experience. It’s fitted for the sophisticated individual who enjoys entertaining friends in their backyard because it’s stylish, convenient and fully functional just like your modern indoor kitchen.

Well when it comes to superior design and power you might as well choose another kind of grill that I also found in Outdora. I’m referring to the viking grill which is a heavy duty commercial range made for the home. With its wonderful features as the most powerful grill burner in the field, with rotisserie rod and with many other features that you’ll want to have one in your house. It’s like doing your barbeque the professional way.

As an aspiring cook I have flair for kitchen equipment and accessories and I love browsing at different sites for the things that I want to have even if it will take some time before I’ll be able to buy them. And one of the things that I love best is getting the perfect barbecue grill for our specific needs. I actually want a grill that I can carry anywhere and can accommodate multiple grilling. I also want to use wood or charcoal fuel so I will not worry about the fuel when we’re far away in the province or beach sides. I found the Round Rock Rotisserie and Fire Pit very ideal to what I’ve been looking for because it has a main grill surface and rotisserie that can be used at the same time. Just perfect! I’ve enclosed here pictures of the grills I want!

Blue Monday-RT: Vintage Airforce Car

This is the car which was used by Commander-In-Chief decades ago. Now it was maintained and preserved as one of the displays in the Philippine Airforce Museum which we visited as part of the itineraries of my lil boy in his educational tour few months ago. There are plenty of old things there including planes, valor pins, uniforms, paintings, flags, guns and many other old equipment used by the Philippine Air Force in the old times. It was an exciting place for a person like me who likes old things, I collect old coins and some other old items :-) The little boys here enjoys looking and riding at the planes.

Happy start of the week! Click on the badges for more blue monday and ruby tuesday pics!
